Wie ein Holzgebäude in den Niederlanden zur Wiederbelebung eines Stadtzentrums beitragen soll.

Stadtnah und doch naturverbunden: „Nieuw Hout“ will die besten Aspekte in sich vereinen. Plan: Olaf Gipser Architects

Die niederländische Stadt Zwanenburg liegt elf Kilometer westlich von Amsterdam und soll mit der Initiative „Hart van Zwanenburg“ (dt.: Herz von Zwanenburg) zu neuem Leben erweckt werden. Teil der Initiative war eine Ausschreibung für ein Wohngebäude, das einerseits den landschaftlichen Kontext miteinbezieht und andererseits als Tor zur Stadt dient. Als Sieger ging das Projekt „Nieuw Hout“ (dt.: Neues Holz) des Amsterdamer Architekturbüros Olaf Gipser Architects in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Landschaftsarchitekturbüro OKRA hervor. Der Baubeginn ist für das Frühjahr 2024 geplant.
