„Bahnorama"-Turm mit Burgenland-Statik

Gestern wurde in Wien das Hauptbahnhof-Informationszentrum "Bahnorama" direkt neben der Baustelle eröffnet. Dort steht auch Europas höchster begehbarer Holzturm. Für seine Statik und die Tragwerks-Planung sind Burgenländer verantwortlich.
Der Turm ist 66,72 Meter hoch und stellt ein von weitem sichtbares Zeichen für den neuen Hauptbahnhof Wiens dar. Die Statik bzw. die Tragwerks-Planung des Turms haben der Burgenländer Richard Woschitz und sein Team übernommen.
"Als Generalkonsulent mit der Kernkompetenz Tragwerksplanung ist der Einsatz neuer, leichter Materialien bei schönen, architektonisch anspruchsvollen Bauwerken für uns ein prioritäres Ziel. Diese innovativen Tragwerksplanungen werden sowohl im Holzbau als auch im Stahlbau und im Glasbau umgesetzt", sagte Woschitz.
Fünf Jahre lang sollen Turm und Aussichtshalle stehen bleiben und auf über 500 m2 Ausstellungsfläche Infos über die Baustelle, den Baufortschritt und das Gesamtprojekt Hauptbahnhof geben.
